Benzema: five goals in his last four games against Valencia

Valencia are third in the standings in terms of the teams the Frenchman has scored the most against (11).

Karim Benzema will be eagerly eying Sunday’s clash against Valencia as a chance to add to his goal tally. The Real Madrid goal machine, who has netted a total of 16 times this season, has scored five goals in his last four league games against the team’s next opponents. Valencia are third in the standings in terms of the teams the Frenchman has scored the most against, with 11 (9 in the league and 2 in the Copa del Rey). Only Athletic Club (14) and Granada (13) have fared better against the striker.

Benzema’s goal-scoring run against Valencia goes back to the 2018/19 campaign, when he scored in the away match. The following season, the forward found the back of the net in both league outings, with a brace at home and one goal at Mestalla. When the two sides met in the league for the first time this season, Benzema was once again on target.
