Vietnam is second only to Bangladesh in garment exports

Vietnam surpassed Bangladesh in garment exports. At present, Bangladesh is the third largest exporter of garments in the world. As always, China ranks first in the apparel market. The 2021 report of the World Trade Statistical Review was published on Friday. This has raised the issue of Vietnam’s progress. According to the report, Bangladesh’s share in the international garment market fell to 6.3 percent in 2020. Earlier, it was 7.8 percent. Last year, the market value of Bangladesh was ৮ 26 billion.

Meanwhile, Vietnam occupies 8.4 percent of the global garment export market. Earlier, it was 7.2 percent. By the end of 2020, the country’s market value was 29 billion.
