Four Palestinians were killed in Israeli shelling

Israel did not accept Abbas’s remarks at the UN

At least four Palestinians have been killed in Israeli security operations in the West Bank. The Palestinian Ministry of Health has confirmed this information. One died in the Burkin area near Jenin and the other three in the Biddu area near Jerusalem. Hamas says clashes are still going on in the city of Jenin.

Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said the Israeli military had launched a crackdown on Hamas members. He said Hamas was “going to carry out a terrorist attack” and that the operation was carried out overnight to prevent the attack.

However, he did not comment on the incident. An Israeli army spokesman, however, said four Palestinians had been killed. He also said that two of his army members were injured.

Meanwhile, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has said that Israel must withdraw from the Palestinian territories within a year. He also remarked that he would never recognize the Jewish state on the basis of the pre-1967 borders. Abbas made the remarks at the 7th session of the UN General Assembly on Friday. In the virtual speech, Mahmoud Abbas called on UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres to convene an international peace conference to resolve the conflict between Israel and Palestine and establish peace in the Middle East.

However, Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdogan, dismissed the Palestinian leader’s remarks, saying “Abbas has proved once again that his words have no relevance.” “Those who truly support peace and reconciliation do not give such misleading ultimatums on platforms like the United Nations,” he said.
