Snapchat’s new in-app tool will warn about the harmful aspects of drugs

Snapchat has launched an in-app tool to warn users about various harmful aspects of drugs. This in-app tool will work mainly for the users who are looking for drug information using this app. Snapchat has also worked to build a tool for parents.

Snapchat reported on Thursday (October 8th) that the new tool will help parents take effective steps to keep young people safe, according to international news agency Reuters.

Last week, the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) received a public safety warning message on behalf of Snapchat, and the announcement was made on social media.

In a recent interview, DEA chief Ann Milgrim said social media companies were not taking appropriate action to tackle drug-related problems.

Parents protested at Snapchat’s headquarters this summer. They complained that their children had died after collecting counterfeit drug tablets from Snapchat. In response, social media reported that, at the request of law enforcement agencies, last year they further improved their team so that the organization was able to assist quickly.

At the same time, Snapchat is working to improve its active identification capabilities to drive drug traffickers out of social media.
