The Saudis are lifting the ban on wearing masks

Corona restrictions have been widely relaxed in Saudi Arabia. The relaxation will take effect from Sunday (October 18). Under the new guidelines, wearing a mask is no longer mandatory when traveling anywhere. News Arab News.

However, in some places, especially in the Grand Mosque of Makkah and the mosque in Medina, wearing a mask is still compulsory. All travelers and staff there must wear masks. There is no obligation to accept even in the case of social distance. Transportation, restaurants, cinemas and all places can be run independently. Community centers will also be open with full capacity.

Corona detection rates have already dropped due to the country’s extensive vaccination program. The Middle Eastern country has imposed strict sanctions since the start of the Corona epidemic.

But on Friday (October 15th), the country’s interior ministry announced the relaxation of Corona’s restrictions after a long 18 months. Only those who have received two doses of the vaccine will get this benefit.

Meanwhile, the country’s health ministry will monitor the rate of corona infection. Authorities will take appropriate action again if there are reports of an increase in infections due to the relaxation of restrictions.
