50% Saudization in Baqalas and Supermarkets In KSA
The HRSD Ministry has imposed 50% Saudization on certain professions in the qualifying grocery stores and supermarkets effective from March 28, 2022.

The decision to localize jobs in grocery stores and supermarkets in Saudi Arabia was made on Oct. 12, 2020, but the implementation has started in March 2022.

1- The decision of 50% Saudization in the supermarkets and grocery stores is implemented on;
- All retail chains with an area of less than 300 square meters.
- All supermarkets with an area of less than 500 square meters.
2- The supermarkets are required to maintain 50% Saudization in the following professions;
- Department manager.
- Deputy branch manager.
- Branch manager.
- Department supervisors.
3- The supermarkets are required to maintain 100% Saudization in the following professions;
- Customer accountants.
- Accounting fund supervisors.
- Customer service.
- Customer relations.
