The foldable phone Huawei Mate X2 will be launched on February 22. In the meantime, the mercury of expectations is also rising with the phone.
To promote why the phone will be special, Huawei showed a glimpse of its seamless folding design by posting GIF images on Chinese microblogging site Weibo yesterday. Basically, the company has demonstrated the ability to fold the upcoming device with a new teaser. Also last week, Huawei shared a teaser to highlight the handset’s folding mechanism.
Coming as the successor model of Huawei’s first foldable smartphone, the Mate X2 will have a 6.1-inch foldable display made by Chinese company BOE Technology. It is expected to support 2460×2220 pixel resolution. The refresh rate of the primary display will be 120 Hz.
The secondary display size of the foldable design phone will be 6.45 inches. The resolution can be 2260×1180 pixels. The Huawei Mate X25NM Kirin 9000 chipset will be used. The phone will run on Android 10 operating system. The phone will have a 4,400 mAh battery with 8 watt rapid charging facility.
Meanwhile, for photography, a quad rear camera setup can be seen in the Huawei Mate X2 phone. The primary camera will be 50 megapixels. The other three cameras will also be 16 megapixels + 12 megapixels + 8 megapixels. The phone will have a 16 megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling.
