Is it possible to cancel Final Exit visa without a Fine? Jawazat response

The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia said that the final exit visa validity period is 60 days. And confirm that a fine of 1,000 riyals is impose to be able to cancel the exit visa, and for this a valid resident Iqama is require. This came in response after a question was receive on Jawazat’s Twitter account, asking,

“Peace be upon you, I have a question. I settled a final exit for a worker, and he did not left in the time, and the 60 days have passed, I want to cancel the exit in order to report him Absent From Work. The cancellation fee of 1,000 riyals appeared to me, Is there a solution without a fine?”

Saudi Jawazat respond it sating, “In case of failure to leave within the 60-day period of validity of the visa, a fine of 1,000 riyals will be impose. To able to cancel the visa, and a valid resident’s Iqama is require to be able to complete the procedure.”
